Ψαλμοί 12
- 1 «Εις τον πρώτον μουσικόν, επί Σεμινίθ. Ψαλμός του Δαβίδ.» Σώσον, Κύριε· διότι εξέλιπεν όσιος, διότι εχάθησαν οι φιλαλήθεις μεταξύ των υιών των ανθρώπων.
- 2 Έκαστος λαλεί ματαιότητα προς τον πλησίον αυτού· με χείλη δόλια λαλούσιν από διπλής καρδίας.
- 3 Ας εξολοθρεύση ο Κύριος πάντα τα χείλη τα δόλια, την γλώσσαν την μεγαλορρήμονα.
- 4 Διότι είπον, Θέλομεν υπερισχύσει διά της γλώσσης ημών· τα χείλη ημών είναι ημέτερα· τις θέλει είσθαι κύριος εφ' ημάς;
- 5 Διά την ταλαιπωρίαν των πτωχών, διά τον στεναγμόν των πενήτων, τώρα θέλω εγερθή, λέγει ο Κύριος· θέλω θέσει εν ασφαλεία εκείνον, κατά του οποίου φυσά ο ασεβής.
- 6 Τα λόγια του Κυρίου είναι λόγια καθαρά· αργύριον δεδοκιμασμένον εν πηλίνω χωνευτηρίω, κεκαθαρισμένον επταπλασίως.
- 7 Συ, Κύριε, θέλεις φυλάξει αυτούς· θέλεις διατηρήσει αυτούς από της γενεάς ταύτης εις τον αιώνα.
- 8 Οι ασεβείς περιπατούσι κύκλω, όταν οι αχρείοι υψωθώσι μεταξύ των υιών των ανθρώπων.

This translation started in 1831 and was published in 1850 by the Orthodox Archimandrite and professor of the National University of Athens, Neophytos Vamvas with the help of other researchers. Considering that the Greek Orthodox Church wouldn't support him, he collaborated with the British and Foreign Bible Society to publish this translation.
The text is written in "kathareuousa", a form of greek that is not spoken today in Greece. It is closer to spoken greek though, than the Septuagint (also known "translation of the seventy").- Encoding: UTF-8
