Psalms 12
- 1 ای خداوند، مدد فرما! زیرا اشخاص خداشناس دیگر وجود ندارند و مردمان امین و صادق در بین بشر دیده نمی شوند.
- 2 همه به یکدیگر دروغ می گویند و با لبهای چاپلوس و دل منافق سخن می رانند.
- 3 خداوند لبهای چاپلوس را قطع می کند و هر زبانِ متکبر را.
- 4 که می گویند: «با زبان خود موفق می شویم. هرچه بخواهیم می گوئیم و کیست که مانع ما شود؟»
- 5 خداوند می فرماید: «بخاطر ظلم بر مسکینان و نالۀ فقیران، بر می خیزم و نجاتی را که منتظر آن هستند به آن ها می دهم.»
- 6 سخنان خداوند، سخنان خالص و پاک اند؛ مانند نقره ای که هفت بار در کوره تصفیه شده باشد.
- 7 تو ای خداوند، آن ها را محافظت می کنی؛ از این نسل تا به ابد.
- 8 وقتی خیانت و پلیدی در بین مردم رایج می شود، شریران در هر گوشه و کنار دیده می شوند.
