約伯記 3
- 1 此後，約伯 開 口 咒詛 自己的生日，
- 2 說：
- 3 願我 生 的那日 和說 懷了 男胎 的那夜 都滅沒。
- 4 願那 日 變為 黑暗；願 神 不 從上面 尋找它；願亮光 不 照 於其上。
- 5 願黑暗 和死蔭 索取那日；願密雲 停 在其上；願日 蝕 恐嚇它。
- 6 願那 夜 被幽暗 奪取，不 在年 中的日子 同樂，也不 入 月 中的數目。
- 7 願 那夜 沒有生育，其間 也沒 有 歡樂的聲音。
- 8 願那咒詛 日子 且能 惹動 鱷魚 的咒詛那夜。
- 9 願那夜黎明 的星宿 變為黑暗，盼 亮 卻不亮，也不 見 早晨的光線（原文是眼皮）；
- 10 因 沒有 把懷我胎 的門 關閉，也沒有將患難 對我的眼 隱藏。
- 11 我為何 不 出母胎 而死？為何不出 母腹 絕氣？
- 12 為何 有膝 接收我？為何 有奶 哺養我？
- 13 不然，我就早已躺臥 安 睡，
- 14 和 地上 為自己 重造 荒邱 的君王、謀士，
- 15 或 與 有 金子、將銀子 裝滿了 房屋 的王子 一同 安息；
- 16 或 像隱而未現、不到期而落的胎，歸於 無有，如同未 見 光 的嬰孩。
- 17 在那裡 惡人 止息 攪擾， 困乏人 得享安息，
- 18 被囚的人 同 得安逸，不 聽見 督工 的聲音。
- 19 大 小 都在 那裡；奴僕 脫離 主人的轄制。
- 20 受患難的人 為何 有光 賜給他呢？心中 愁苦 的人為何有生命賜給他呢？
- 21 他們切望 死，卻不得死；求死，勝於求隱藏的珍寶。
- 22 他們尋見 墳墓 就快樂， 極 其歡喜。
- 23 人 的道路 既然 遮隱， 神 又把他 四面圍困，為何有光賜給他呢？
- 24 我未曾 吃飯 就 發出 歎息；我唉哼 的聲音湧出 如水。
- 25 因 我所 恐懼 的臨到我身，我所 懼怕 的迎 我而來。
- 26 我不得 安逸，不得 平靜，也不得 安息，卻有患難 來到。
