- 1 En salme. Syng Herren en ny sang! For han har gjort underlige ting; hans høire hånd og hans hellige arm har hjulpet ham.
- 2 Herren har kunngjort sin frelse, åpenbaret sin rettferdighet for hedningenes øine.
- 3 Han har kommet i hu sin miskunnhet og sin trofasthet mot Israels hus; alle jordens ender har sett vår Guds frelse.
- 4 Rop med glede for Herren, all jorden, bryt ut i jubel og lovsang!
- 5 Lovsyng Herren til citar, til citar og med sangens røst,
- 6 til trompeter og basunens røst! Rop med fryd for kongens, Herrens åsyn!
- 7 Havet bruse og alt det som fyller det, jorderike og de som bor der!
- 8 Strømmene klappe i hender, fjellene juble alle sammen
- 9 for Herrens åsyn, for han kommer for å dømme jorden; han skal dømme jorderike med rettferdighet og folkene med rettvishet.
