Psalms 140
- 1 오 주여, 악한 자에게서 나를 건지시고 난폭한 자에게서 나를 보존하소서.
- 2 그들이 마음속으로 해악들을 꾀하고 싸우기 위해 계속해서 함께 모이며
- 3 뱀같이 자기 혀를 날카롭게 하였사오니 그들의 입술 밑에는 독사의 독이 있나이다. 셀라.
- 4 오 주여, 사악한 자의 손에서 나를 지키시고 난폭한 자에게서 나를 보존하소서. 그들이 나의 가는 것을 뒤엎으려 하였나이다.
- 5 교만한 자들이 나를 잡으려고 올무와 줄을 숨겨 두고 길가에 그물을 치며 나를 잡으려고 덫들을 놓았나이다. 셀라.
- 6 내가 주께 말하기를, 오 주여, 주는 나의 하나님이시오니 나의 간구하는 소리를 들으소서.
- 7 오 나의 구원의 능력이신 하나님 곧 주여, 주께서 전쟁의 날에 내 머리를 덮으셨나이다.
- 8 오 주여, 사악한 자의 소원을 허락하지 마시고 그의 사악한 계략이 진척되지 못하게 하소서. 그들이 자신을 높일까 염려하나이다. 셀라.
- 9 나를 에워싸는 자들의 머리로 말하건대 그들의 입술의 해악이 그들을 덮게 하소서.
- 10 타오르는 숯이 그들 위에 떨어지게 하시며 그들이 불 가운데와 깊은 구덩이에 내던져져서 다시는 일어나지 못하게 하소서.
- 11 악담하는 자는 땅에서 굳게 서지 못할지니 재앙이 난폭한 자를 사냥하여 그를 넘어뜨리리이다.
- 12 주께서 고난당하는 자의 사정과 가난한 자의 권리를 옹호하실 줄을 내가 아나이다.
- 13 참으로 의로운 자들이 주의 이름에 감사를 드리며 곧바른 자들이 주 앞에 거하리이다.
