列王紀上 5
- 1 泰爾 王 希蘭，平素 愛 大衛； 他聽見 以色列人膏 所羅門，接續 他父親 作王， 就差遣 臣僕 來見他。
- 2 所羅門 也差遣 人去見 希蘭，說：
- 3 「你 知道 我父親 大衛 因 四圍 的 爭戰，不 能 為耶和華─他 神 的名 建 殿，直等到 耶和華 使仇敵 都服 在 他腳下。
- 4 現在 耶和華─我的 神 使我 四圍 平安，沒有 仇敵，沒有 災 禍。
- 5 我 定意 要為耶和華─我 神 的名 建 殿，是照 耶和華 應許 我父親 大衛 的話說：『我必使 你兒子 接續你 坐 你的位，他 必為我的名 建 殿。』
- 6 所以 求你吩咐 你的僕人在 黎巴嫩 為我 砍伐 香柏木，我的僕人 也必 幫助 他們，我必照 你所 定的，給 你僕人 的工價；因為 你 知道， 在我們中間 沒有 人 像西頓人 善 於砍伐 樹木。」
- 7 希蘭 聽見 所羅門 的話，就甚 喜悅，說：「今日 應當稱頌 耶和華；因他 賜 給大衛 一個有智慧 的兒子，治理 這 眾多 的民。」
- 8 希蘭 打發 人去見 所羅門，說：「你差遣 人向我 所提的那事，我都聽見了；論到香柏 木 和松 木，我 必照 你的心願 而行。
- 9 我的僕人 必將這木料從 黎巴嫩 運 到海裡， 紮 成筏子，浮海 運到 你所 指定 我 的地方，在那裡 拆開，你 就可以收取；你 也要成全 我的心願，將食物 給 我的家。」
- 10 於是 希蘭 照著所羅門所 要的，給 他 香柏 木 和松 木；
- 11 所羅門 給 希蘭 麥子 二萬 歌珥，清 油 二十 歌珥，作他家的 食物。所羅門 每年 都是這樣 給 希蘭。
- 12 耶和華 照著所 應許的 賜 智慧 給所羅門。 希蘭 與 所羅門 和好，彼此 立 約。
- 13 所羅門 王 從 以色列人 中挑取 服苦的人 共有 三萬，
- 14 派他們 輪流 每月 一萬 人上黎巴嫩去； 一個月 在黎巴嫩，兩個 月 在家裡。亞多尼蘭 掌管 他們。
- 15 所羅門 用 七萬 扛抬的，八萬 在山 上鑿石頭的。
- 16 此外，所羅門 用三 千 三 百 督 工 的，監管 工 人。
- 17 王 下令，人就鑿出 又大 又寶貴 的石頭來，用以立 殿 的根基。
- 18 所羅門 的匠人 和希蘭 的匠人，並迦巴勒人，都將石頭鑿好，預備 木料 和石頭 建 殿。
