以斯帖記 5
- 1 第三 日，以斯帖 穿上 朝服，進王 宮 的內 院，對 殿 站立。王 在殿 裡坐 在 寶 座上，對著 殿 門。
- 2 王 見 王后 以斯帖 站 在院內，就 施 恩於她， 向她 伸出 手中 的 金 杖；以斯帖 便向前 摸 杖 頭。
- 3 王 對她 說：「王后 以斯帖啊，你 要甚麼？你求 甚麼，就是 國 的一半 也必賜 給你。」
- 4 以斯帖 說：「 王 若 以為美，就請王 帶著哈曼 今日 赴 我所 預備 的筵席。」
- 5 王 說：「叫 哈曼 速速 照 以斯帖 的話 去行」。於是王 帶著哈曼 赴 以斯帖 所 預備 的筵席。
- 6 在酒 席筵前，王 又問以斯帖 說：「你要 甚麼，我必賜 給你；你求 甚麼，就是 國 的一半 也必為你成就。」
- 7 以斯帖 回答 說：「我有所要，我有所求。
- 8 我若 在王 眼前 蒙 恩， 王 若 願意 賜 我所要的，准 我所求的，就請王 帶著哈曼 再赴 我所 要預備 的筵席。明日 我必照王 所問的 說明。」
- 9 那 日 哈曼 心中 快樂，歡歡喜喜地 出來；但 見 末底改 在朝 門 不 站起來，連身也不 動， 就滿心 惱怒 末底改。
- 10 哈曼 暫且忍耐 回 家，叫人 請 他朋友 和 他妻子 細利斯 來。
- 11 哈曼 將 他富厚 的榮耀、眾多的 兒女，和 王 抬舉他 使他超 乎 首領 臣僕 之上，都 述說 給他們聽。
- 12 哈曼 又說：「 王后 以斯帖 預備 筵席，除了 我 之外不許 別人隨 王 赴席。明日 王后 又 請 我 隨 王赴席；
- 13 只是 我 見 猶大人 末底改 坐 在朝 門，雖有這 一切榮耀，也與我 無 益。」
- 14 他的妻 細利斯 和他一切的 朋友 對他 說：「不如立 一個五丈 高 的木架，明早 求 王 將 末底改 掛 在其上，然後你可以歡歡喜喜地 隨 王 赴 席。」哈曼 以 這話 為美，就叫人做了 木架。
