- 1 “เขาได้ให้ข้าพเจ้าทุกข์ยากหลายครั้งตั้งแต่หนุ่มๆมา” ให้อิสราเอลกล่าวเถิดว่า
- 2 “เขาได้ให้ข้าพเจ้าทุกข์ยากหลายครั้งตั้งแต่หนุ่มๆมา แต่เขายังเอาชนะข้าพเจ้าไม่ได้
- 3 คนที่ไถก็ได้ไถบนหลังข้าพเจ้า เขาทำรอยไถของเขาให้ยาว”
- 4 พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงชอบธรรม พระองค์ทรงตัดเครื่องจองจำของคนชั่วออก
- 5 ขอให้บรรดาผู้ที่เกลียดชังศิโยนได้ขายหน้าและต้องถอยกลับไป
- 6 ให้เขาเป็นเหมือนหญ้าที่งอกบนหลังคาเรือน ซึ่งเหี่ยวแห้งไปก่อนมันโตขึ้น
- 7 ซึ่งคนเกี่ยวไม่เก็บใส่มือหรือคนที่มัดเป็นฟ่อนไม่เก็บไว้ที่อกของเขา
- 8 ทั้งคนที่ผ่านไปไม่พูดว่า “ขอพระพรของพระเยโฮวาห์อยู่บนท่านทั้งหลาย เราอวยพรท่านทั้งหลายในพระนามพระเยโฮวาห์”
